The IPEC Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice: Version 3 builds upon preceding versions and includes significant updates and improvements to the previous edition released in 2016. To support users, the report includes a compendium of materials:
- A brief history of IPEC (Appendix A) detailing collective milestones from 2009 to the present day.
- A summary of IPEC programs, projects, and resources (Appendix B).
- An expanded and revised glossary of terms (Appendix C) with 40 operational terms adopted throughout the 2023 update.
- A corresponding comparison guide (Appendix D) that provides crosswalk tools to efficiently compare the differences between the second and third versions.

Virtual Town Hall Meetings Executive Summary: Community Feedback and Recommendations
October 2021
For Phase II of the update process, the Advisory and Working Groups organized two virtual town hall forums. 189 IPEC members participated in the September 17, 2021 town hall meeting, and 90 participants joined the October 5, 2021 special town hall session at the 2021 Nexus Summit. This report summarizes emerging issues and concerns regarding the 2016 IPEC Core Competencies voiced during these two sessions.
Analysis of the Survey of IPEC Member Groups: Stakeholder Feedback

A survey instrument was developed by the members of the IPEC Advisory Group. The survey was validated through review and discussion of each question by Advisory Group and Working Group members. This survey summary includes details about the dataset compiled from 82 respondents.
