In September 2023, a special issue of the Journal of Interprofessional Care was released, featuring the synthesis of more than a decade of work through deep engagement within and across the US. From the work, an approach, knowledge-based IPE leadership, has emerged.

Join the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education for an interactive webinar that will take a deeper dive into featured papers from the Special Issue. The goal for this Special Issue is that lessons learned will inspire energy to address today's challenges and provide opportunities for health and learning outcomes that matter.

The exponential growth of the field of IPE in the past decade teaches us many lessons. The NexusIPE™ Learning Model emerged in continuous reflection on work with numerous collaborators and content analysis of papers in the special issue of the Journal of Interprofessional Care. Christine Arenson and Barbara Brandt will describe examples of wake-up calls and critical events that led to recognizing why we need to add another approach to IPE into practice and community settings. 

In this sense-making webinar, the model will be described: the three Ps, design principles, the cycle of learning in practice and community settings, emerging data science and developmental evaluation methods, and  the role of the Nexus partnership.
