The May 2021 IPEC Institute is returning to the popular theme of building interprofessional education for collaborative practice (IPECP) with a view towards increasing faculty readiness and student preparation to deliver on health equity. The Institute program is designed to include both interprofessional teams and individual participants. Target Audience
Team Composition (If Applicable)Please note that it is not necessary to register as a team. Individual participants will also be accepted into the program. The following conditions for interprofessional teams are highly encouraged, but not required (individual members may fit more than one category):
*If your institution is associated with a healthcare service facility such as a VA, local community health center, or affiliated medical center, or a partner organization, such as a local health department or community-based agency, please strongly consider adding a representative from that facility to your team. FormatParticipants will engage with national leaders in acquiring the building blocks for IPECP. Institute attendees will spend significant time planning, building, designing, assessing, and acting on their IPECP goals and projects, as well as communicate effectively about IPECP. The Institute will provide opportunities to interact with colleagues, speakers, and IPEC staff in information sharing and networking, including virtual poster presentation sessions that will occur during post-Institute sessions. Pre-course readings and asynchronous modules will provide context and stimulate questions for exploration during the synchronous sessions. IPEC Institute session evaluations are electronic. After the Institute, you will receive an email with a link to the evaluation system. Click on that link to evaluate each session you attended. After you have completed the session evaluations, you will be able to immediately print your CE Certificate. IMPORTANT NOTE: IPEC is looking to offer CEs to other disciplines. Please stay tuned for additional updates. Public HealthEligible attendees may receive Certified in Public Health (CPH) continuing education credits for participating in this Institute. The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health works with the National Board of Public Health Examiners to provide CPH credits. NursingEligible attendees may receive continuing nursing education (CNE) hours for participating and evaluating this Institute. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. DentistryEligible attendees may receive continuing dental education (CDE) hours for participating and evaluating this Institute.
